The landscape continues to change in southwest Montana as Big Sky Resort advances its improvements, which includes two updated lifts to better serve skier and snowboarders.

Powderhounds in Montana in search of and minimal time wasted on lifts, look no further than Big Sky Resort’s new Powder Seeker lift.  Replacing the aging Triple Chair, the lift brings skiers to the bowl or to the Tram.  The new 6 seater, bubble enclosed, heated seats, 3-minute ride to the top has without a doubt allowed for some seriously fast lap times.  A quick run across the Turkey Traverse to find an untouched line is now a perfect warm-up for Tram laps, which now only takes a few minutes.  Half the time the snow is better in the bowl than off the wind-swept peak!

Some say that it has created longer tram lines, I call that a first world problem.  If the line is too long take advantage of the new fast lift and lap that bowl!  The only downside this season in Big Sky is the lift ticket prices, far north of $100.Sure, you get access to Moonlight, but there is so much terrain, almost too much for one day!

Ski areas now have a healthy base, it’s time to get and hit the slopes!
